Refund Policy & Warranty
Refund
- Due to the particular nature of electric skateboards, boards cannot be resold as new once they have been returned. For this reason, we do not accept returns on complete boards.
- We can accept returns of unused accessories to our locations in the United States and China within 30 days of the customer receiving the items.
- If the return is not due to manufacturing or incorrect item errors, customers are responsible for any shipping costs to return accessories to our United States or China locations. The specific fee will be based on the shipping company you choose. If a return is required due to manufacturer or incorrect item errors, we will pay any shipping costs for board or accessory returns.

- Return packaging: Original packaging is required (two packaging boxes are needed for complete board).
- Return policy: customers can cancel orders before shipment, but they must communicate with us in advance and obtain email notification.
Warranty
- In order to provide excellent service and protection as well as fairness, we warranty different parts of our boards for different time lengths. Our goal is to get our customers back on the road as soon as possible when they experience an issue, while making sure we have a sustainable business model. Unless stated otherwise below (E.G Special Major Battery Warranty), all warranties on complete boards are transferrable with original proof-of-purchase.
- Lorentz reserves the right to change the conditions of our warranty at any time.
Mechanical Parts
- We provide a one (1) year warranty period for any problem found on non-electronic mechanical parts related to manufacturing quality. These parts include enclosures, trucks, gear drives, motor mounts, and wheels.
Electronic Parts
- We provide a six (6) month warranty period for any problem found on electronic parts related to manufacturing quality. These parts include Major V3 deck (light strips inside), electronic speed controllers (ESC), Maverick batteries, motors, lighting, remotes, chargers, and BMS.
Special Battery Warranty for Major
- We recognize that batteries are the most important and most expensive part of an electric skateboard. The Major uses especially large and expensive battery packs. We strongly stand by the safety and quality of our batteries. In order to best protect and support our Major customers, we offer a six (6) month warranty on the battery. After this six (6) month period, we will offer replacement batteries for the Major at 50% of the cost for an additional twelve (12) month period. This special battery warranty is only available to Major board owners who have proof of purchase from Lorentz and is non-transferrable.
Consumable Parts
- Parts such as tires, bearings, bushings, belts, grip tape, paint, gear grease, bash guards, tools, lanyards, and other items reasonably considered consumable are not covered by any warranties and are not eligible for discounts unless expressly provided through communication with Lorentz.
Repairs
- During the warranty period, if a board becomes non-functional due to manufacturing quality issues, we will work with you to determine which part of the board is broken and provide replacement parts free of charge, including free shipping (except in the case of any duties assessed by your country required for delivery). In order to make this assessment, we may require pictures or videos of the parts causing the issue. Our products use a modular design and parts can be easily replaced with the help of our instructional videos.
- Even outside of your warranty period, or if a defect is caused due to damage caused by the rider not related to manufacturing quality, we still want to help you get your Lorentz Board back on the road. You may need to purchase replacement parts in this case. We will offer a LIFETIME 80% discount on replacement parts to original Lorentz board owners with proof-of-purchase from Lorentz, so long as we have the items in stock. This discount does not apply to batteries. This is how serious we are about making sure you can enjoy your Lorentz board for years and years.
- Typically, the fastest way to have your board repaired is for us to supply parts and instructions for you to make the repair. With that said, we can provide repair service for customers at our United States and China locations at no-cost for our labor, but customers must pay shipping costs to and from our locations. We offer this repair service for life so long as our service centers are in operation and have the items necessary to repair your board in stock. Should customers choose to have Lorentz repair their board, they are responsible for the cost of parts needed for the repair.
Warranty and Repair Exclusions:
- Damage caused by the following items do not meet the terms of our warranty and are ineligible for repair by Lorentz:
- Damage caused by water
- Normal wear and tear
- Theft
- Abuse, improper use, or accidents/crashes (unless caused by manufacturer defect)
- Improper storage such as storing with a completely discharged battery for a long period, as well as storage in wet, freezing, corrosive, excessively hot or dusty settings.
Our warranties cover individual parts of our boards only - not the replacement of a complete board.
