Yes! Using your remote, you can customize the strength of accelaration and braking for each gear, as well as each gear's top speed. To do so while stopped, double-tap button B to enter the menu and select the gear you want to adjust with button B. Next, select top speed, accelaration, and/or braking with button B and use the scroll wheel to increase or decrease the values. Finally, confirm with button B.
Lorentz has three types of wheels and tires. The first, 200x62mm Track & Road wheels and tires are best suited to paved streets, racetracks, and light off-road riding. The Basic wheels and tires are 200x50mm and are balanced for both on and off-road use and will achieve the most range of our options. Lastly are the 250x75mm Nail'd tank wheels and tires which are suitable for extreme off-road conditions, or paticularly bad road surfaces.
Your Major Remote can show you your board's battery voltage, percentage, and temperature, as well as your ESC's temperature, discharge current, and energy consumption per mile/kilometer. All of these functions can be accessed in the remote's menu by double-tapping button B. These values are listed within the Board, Motor & ESC, and Statistics sections of the menu. Your remote's main screen, as well as the Core in the center of your board will show accelaration and braking force while you ride.
Bindings are completely optional to ride your Lorentz Major. They can be helpful to provide additional stability and control, particularly during off-road riding, but it's important to understand that riding strapped in can add to your risk. The Major comes with inserts installed to add bindings purchased separately. We recommend installing your bindings and testing them in a controlled setting to decide if they are right for you and your riding style.
The Lorentz Major is extremely water resistent, but it is not waterproof. We made serious efforts to make the Major as water resisent as possible by sealing the battery and ESC enclosure independently with a silicone pad on top. Even our unique motor connectors are extremely water resistent, keeping the electric internals safe from splashes.
With that said:
1. The Major remote is NOT waterproof.
2. Riding your board in the rain is dangerous
3. Despite every effort made, electric skateboards cannot be submerged in water. The Lorentz Major is an e-skate, not a boat!
Many different factors go into estimating range: rider weight, terrain, the amount of accelaration force being used. The best way to estimate your own personal range based on these factors is to check the Statistics section of the remote menu. This will show you your real-time consumption per mile and will help you accurately estimate how much range you have remaining. We expect riders to get anywhere from 25-50 miles, or 40-80 kilometers on a full charge.
We recommend you charge your remote before each ride. If you are just taking a short ride, you can check the remaining usage time, as well as energy in mAh in the Remote section of the remote menu to help you determine if you have enough charge to last your entire ride.
You can adjust the tightness of the Lorentz Major's channel trucks by using the included M4 hex tool to tighten or loosen the bushing mounting screws on the bottom of the trucks. Each bushing in the pair per truck has this mounting screw under it. Turn your tool clockwise to tighten and increase stablity. Turn counter-clockwise to loosen and increase maneuverability.
After a few days without using it, your Lorentz Major will go into hibernation mode. This helps prevent your battery from draining excessively. Simply plug in the board charger for 30 seconds and the Major will turn back on.
Due to the particular nature of electric skateboards, boards cannot be resold once they have been returned. For this reason, we do not accept returns.
We are now shipping to the US, Canada, Europe, and Australia. If you are from a country outside of this area, please contact us before purchasing at info@lorentzboards.comand perhaps we can find a solution.
We provide a one (1) year warranty period for any problem a board has related to manufacturing quality. During the warranty period, if a board becomes non-functional due to manufacturing quality issues, we will work with you to determine which part of the board is broken and provide replacement parts free of charge. Our products use a modular design and parts can be easily replaced with the help of our instructional videos.
After completing your purchase, we will provide complete maintenance instructions for your Major.
