FAQ's

Why does the Major V3 have a premium price and a slightly heavy weight?

We manufacture the Major V3 using the highest-quality components and best processing methods. Most of the parts are designed with redundant structural strength to account for the various uncertainties you may encounter during high-performance daily riding. While we could use lighter-weight and less expensive items like plastic gears or cast trucks, any compromise on these items could result in severe injury. Your safety is the most important thing ! Here is a deep dive into some of Lorentz's high-quality but slightly heavy accessories:

Trucks

Hanger

The hanger is meticulously precision-machined from high-quality 6061 aluminum alloy. Rather than chasing weight reduction, we have prioritized unwavering structural integrity. Ever seen a bent Lorentz truck? No! And this is why.

Axle

The axle is lathe-machined from 4340 alloy steel and undergoes carburizing and heat treatment. The hub-mounted section boasts a 12mm diameter, while the section locked into the hanger is an even stronger 15mm !It would take a firetruck rolling over our trucks to bend them but they have never broken during riding! We are also happy to sell our trucks/axles to DIY enthusiasts.

What is the max weight allowed on the board?

260lbs / 118kg

What’s the top speed of Major V3 ?

Major V3 Standard: Up to 38MPH / 61KPH
Major V3 Pro : Up to 43MPH / 69KPH

Why did we put the ESC on the top of deck tail?

The Major V3 is a long-range, high-performance electric skateboard. The battery pack at the bottom of the board is fixed with dozens of screws (for better waterproofing) and takes up the entire enclosure. If the ESC is placed inside the battery case, when the ESC needs to be repaired, it will require a huge amount of work. The ESC is placed on the top of the board, and the main unit needs to unscrew just a few screws to easily replace it. The ESC can also achieve better heat dissipation on the top

Is the Major V3 waterproof ?

An electric skateboard is not an amphibious landing ship—it cannot be used on both land and water. Any exposure to water poses a risk of damage to electronic components, bearings, and screws. We have made extensive efforts to improve the waterproofing of the Major V3, including full waterproof silicone pads, sealing rings, and nickel-plated screws. However, like all electric skateboards, the Major V3 is not waterproof and we do not recommend riding in wet conditions.

Warranty
  • In order to provide excellent service and protection as well as fairness, we warranty different parts of our boards for different time lengths. Our goal is to get our customers back on the road as soon as possible when they experience an issue, while making sure we have a sustainable business model. Unless stated otherwise below (E.G Special Major Battery Warranty), all warranties on complete boards are transferrable with original proof-of-purchase.
  • Lorentz reserves the right to change the conditions of our warranty at any time.

Mechanical Parts

  • We provide a one (1) year warranty period for any problem found on non-electronic mechanical parts related to manufacturing quality. These parts include enclosures, trucks, gear drives, motor mounts, and wheels.

Electronic Parts

  • We provide a six (6) month warranty period for any problem found on electronic parts related to manufacturing quality. These parts include Major V3 deck (light strips inside ),electronic speed controllers (ESC), Maverick batteries, motors, lighting, remotes, chargers, and BMS.

Special Battery Warranty for Major

  • We recognize that batteries are the most important and most expensive part of an electric skateboard. The Major uses especially large and expensive battery packs. We strongly stand by the safety and quality of our batteries. In order to best protect and support our Major customers, we offer a six (6) month warranty on the battery. After this six (6) month period, we will offer replacement batteries for the Major at 50% of the cost for an additional twelve (12) month period. This special battery warranty is only available to Major board owners who have proof of purchase from Lorentz and is non-transferrable.

Consumable Parts

  • Parts such as tires, bearings, bushings, belts, grip tape, paint, gear grease, bash guards, tools, lanyards, and other items reasonably considered consumable are not covered by any warranties and are not eligible for discounts unless expressly provided through communication with Lorentz.
